I just can’t get enough of these fluffy pancakes.
W 1: These are the best pancakes I’ve ever eaten.
pancake : a thin, flat cake of batter, usually fried and turned in a pan. Pancakes are usually eaten with syrup or rolled up with a filling.
eaten : past participle of eat.
eat : put (food) into the mouth and chew and swallow it.
W 2: You can say that again!
You can say that again : used in spoken English to express emphatic agreement.
emphatic : showing or giving emphasis; expressing something forcibly and clearly.
W 1: I have to ask the cook for the recipe.
ask : say something in order to obtain an answer or some information.
cook : prepare (food, a dish, or a meal) by combining and heating the ingredients in various ways.
recipe m: a set of instructions for preparing a particular dish, including a list of the ingredients required.
W 2: Thanks to you, I’ve found a great new restaurant.
found : past and past participle of find.
find : discover or perceive by chance or unexpectedly.
W 1: I just can’t get enough of these fluffy pancakes.
can’t get enough of something : to like something very much and want a lot of it
fluffy : (of food) light in texture and containing air.
W 2: I’m so full already.
full : containing or holding as much or as many as possible; having no empty space.
already : before or by now or the time in question.
W 1: If you’re not going to finish those, can I have them?
finish : bring (a task or activity) to an end; complete.
have : eat or drink.
W 2: Sure. I don’t want them to go to waste.
Sure : confident in what one thinks or knows; having no doubt that one is right.
waste : material that is not wanted; the unusable remains or byproducts of something.
