I’m happy to give it a shot.
W: Today we’re here to introduce a new sales software.
- introduce : bring (something, especially a product, measure, or concept) into use or operation for the first time.
M: But the old software worked just fine.
W: That may be true. But the bottom line is this will improve sales.
- bottom line : the underlying or ultimate outcome or criterion.
- improve : Make or become better.
M: Fine. I’m happy to give it a shot.
- give it a shot : to attempt to do something
W: It will save us a great deal of time.
- a great deal of time : a large amount or quantity of time
M: That sounds good.
W: Let’s move on to an actual demonstration.
- demonstration : a practical exhibition and explanation of how something works or is performed.
M: Okay. I’m eager to try it out.
- eager : (of a person) wanting to do or have something very much
