When you need Days off
“Is it okay if I take the next few days off?”
M : Is it okay if I take the next few days off?
day off : a day's vacation from work or school on what would normally be a working day.
W : Is everything okay? Are you quitting?
quit : leave (a place), usually permanently.
M : No! I have no reason to quit. I love working here.
reason : a cause, explanation, or justification for an action or event.
W : Oh, you had me worried. How long do you need off?
worry : give way to anxiety or unease; allow one's mind to dwell on difficulty or troubles
M : I’m not asking for a week. Just two days will be fine.
ask : request (someone) to do or give something
W : Sure thing. You’ve earned it.
earn : gain or incur deservedly in return for one's behavior or achievements.
M : Thank you. This means a lot to my family and me.
mean : be of some specified importance to (someone), especially as a source of benefit or object of affection.
