It was pretty scary at the time, but looking back it was one of the best decisions I ever made.

-pretty : to a moderately high degree; fairly.

-scary : frightening; causing fear.

-decision : a conclusion or resolution reached after consideration.



The minute I dropped out I could stop taking the required classes that didn’t interest me, and begin dropping in on the ones that looked interesting.

-drop in : visited on an informal basis without booking or appointments.

-Interesting : arousing curiosity or interest; holding or catching the attention.



It wasn’t all romantic.

-romantic : (of a person) readily demonstrating feelings of love.



I didn’t have a dorm room, so I slept on the floor in friends’ rooms, I returned Coke bottles for the 5¢ deposits to buy food with, and I would walk the 7 miles across town every Sunday night to get one good meal a week at the Hare Krishna temple.

-dorm room : is a building primarily providing sleeping and residential quarters for large numbers of people, often boarding school, college or university students.

-floor : the lower surface of a room, on which one may walk.

-across : rom one side to the other of (something).

-deposit : a sum payable as a first installment on the purchase of something or as a pledge for a contract, the balance being payable later.

-temple : a building devoted to the worship, or regarded as the dwelling place, of a god or gods or other objects of religious reverence.





Learning English is Exercise. Just do it everyday and repeat and repeat.
